ECRN is committed to strengthening the position of the chemical regions in the EU decision-making process. As a network of regional authorities, ECRN speaks with a strong united voice and leverage the political support that it receives from its members. At the same time, the ECRN’ Secretariat has developed and maintains extended relations with the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions, as well as with Regional and National Representations.
As the socio-economic conditions, in which the chemical industry operates, are more and more determined by European directives and regulations, ECRN takes a stand when the EU legislation negatively affects the growth, competitiveness and sustainability of the chemical industry.
